Executive and security teams ran a wide campaign against waste-picking spots in East District, with the Alexandria security directorate led by Maj. Gen. Hatem El Haddad, assistant interior minister and head of Alexandria security, the environment police and the criminal investigation department.
The Nahdet Misr environmental services company took part, and legal action was taken against offenders, to protect the cleaning system and stop waste being scattered back over the streets.
