In November 2025, teams from the Ministry of Local Development’s internal audit and governance department visited 15 technology centres in Alexandria’s districts and cities, East District’s among them, to check the services offered, measure residents’ satisfaction and note files that needed speeding up.
Following the report, Dr Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, called for electronic and non-cash payment in every technology centre, more committees to decide building-settlement requests, faster shop licensing, and a dedicated window to help older people and people with disabilities. The published report gives no findings for each centre separately.
