11 shops closed for breaking closing hours in Smouha and Sidi Gaber

An evening campaign on 5 April 2026 to enforce the prime minister’s decision on shop closing hours, and to check electricity saving.

On the evening of Sunday 5 April 2026, Eng. Engy Mohamed Fathy, head of East District, led a campaign checking that shops, restaurants and businesses closed on time, on Moustafa Kamel Street, Tutankhamun and Fawzi Moaz streets in Smouha and behind Sidi Gaber railway station.

11 shops were closed for not respecting the prime minister’s decision on closing hours, and the campaign checked electricity-saving measures on the Corniche, Abu Qir Street and Abdel Salam Aref Street in Gleem.
