East District ran a campaign against street occupancy on Tutankhamun Street, behind Sidi Gaber railway station, on Bahaa El Din El Ghatwari Street, El Ferdous and El Fath streets in Smouha and Garden City Street. It seized 107 occupancies and 65 pieces of junk and sealed two shops in breach of the rules.
Eng. Engy Mohamed Fathy, head of East District, followed cleaning work with the Nahdet Misr company on Wingate, Abdel Salam Aref in Gleem, El Horreya and Abu Qir roads, Moustafa Kamel, El Ezaa and Shawkat streets, and in El Riyad, the Shaarawi level crossing and Kardahi: about 877 tonnes of waste, rubbish and dust were cleared.
