In campaigns run by Alexandria’s districts with the security services, East District worked through Ahmed Abu Soliman Street, the Cleopatra level crossing, El Lewaa Ahmed Ali, Omar El Khayam and Aziz Fahmy streets and Zananiri market.
It seized 657 street occupancies, removed 4,273 pieces of junk, took down 111 iron sheds and awnings, 19 kiosks and 121 wooden shelters, and cleared 43 tonnes of rubbish, with legal action against the offenders.
