Dr Amira Yassin Heikal, deputy governor, visited El Gamaa El Ahleya Street in East District and called for every occupancy and encroachment to be removed.
A few days later East District, headed by Eng. Engy Fathy, ran a campaign that removed 9 illegal kiosks and 5 wooden shelters and cleared 28 pieces of junk: 42 violations in all.
