Eng. Ayman Atia, Governor of Alexandria, told district heads to deal at once, around the clock, with any illegal building or encroachment during the Eid al-Adha holiday, so the holiday could not be used to break the rules.
In East District, illegal building work was removed on the agricultural road along the El Mahmoudiya axis and a quantity of steel was seized; unlicensed building was stopped in the 6 October area and Ezbet El Messiri, and the illegal walls and columns were taken down completely.
