East District, with the Nahdet Misr company, cleared 1,764 tonnes of waste in two days: 867 tonnes on the first day and 897 on the second, by mechanical and manual sweeping, scraping and removing rubble.
The work covered El Horreya Road and Abdel Salam Aref, Moustafa Kamel, Syria, Wingate, Ahmed Shawki and El Moaskar El Romani streets and the El Adham level crossing. The district asked residents to put their waste only where it is meant to go.
